Walk This Way

There is one thing that I have realized watching both Nolin and Grace grow up together. They may not have the same birth parents, but there is definitely a strong bond between the two of them which is very exciting to experience.

Really since the beginning, Grace has adored Nolin (as well as realized she needs to be able to get out of his way if she doesn’t want to get run over). She watches his every move and laughs at everything he does.

This really doesn’t work well for us when he is doing something we don’t want him to do, because his first response is always Grace wants me to do it, she is laughing. These two will be thick as thieves. Continue reading “Walk This Way”

The Secret Is Revealed

The Secret Adventures of Ms. Grace

Grace&bunnyIt’s the age old question…if a tree falls and no one is around to hear it, did it actually make a sound?

I just hope soon that she will decide to let me into the club too. Continue reading “The Secret Adventures of Ms. Grace”

Here We Go…Maybe

dsc_3782-2Having the chance for one-on-one time with either of our kids is something I thoroughly enjoy, but I have been dreading my Sunday with Nolin for a few weeks.

Not because I didn’t want to spend time with him, but because I was afraid I may fail as a parent. If I failed at this, the consequences could be pretty messy (to say the least). Yep, Sunday was Day 1 of the Potty Time Party. It was Nolin/Daddy day and I was dreading it. Continue reading “Here We Go…Maybe”

First Nights

You know what’s awesome about having two kids?…It provides a whole new set of opportunities for first experiences.

Jenn and I were discussing this the other night and we both felt lucky that we would be able to enjoy all the milestones and stages with Grace. While Nolin was experiencing these events we were beyond excited, but we were also eagerly anticipating the next thing. This time we can simply enjoy them because we know what comes next.
